High School Game Design & Development

2020

Throughout high school, I participated in a class that focused on the artistic side of gaming. Through that class I learned the basics of what makes a good game, went through the creative process of game developers, and created a basis for my own game idea. This was the beginning of my research into game development and seeing it as a job. My time was unfortunately limited due to the impact of Covid on my school. I however was able to continue the class and finish it with multiple art pieces to show for it.

One of the bigger projects in 2020 was to create storyboards based off of a game we wrote ourselves. My protagonist(pictured above) was the focus of this escape scene.

High School Game Design & Development

2021

Most of this year was spent online due to Covid still being a threat, however I spent more time going in-depth with the character design aspect. I created multiple turnarounds for various characters that I came up with on a whim, without a particular story in mind. I also worked on some designs without a turnaround, since doing turnarounds constantly was draining and I needed a break.
